From time to time, the billionaires of Africa are ranked, compiled and published by the American business magazine Forbes to determine the richest. To identify those that have moved up the ladder and those that have dropped. The list was published on January 2018. Dangote Group founder Aliko Dangote for the seventh year on the row topped the 2018 list. Below is the list of the top 10 richest people of the African continent.
10. Mohamed Mansour $2.7 Billion
Mohamed Mansour is an Egyptian businessman and former politician. He is the chairman of Mansour Group, a US$6 billion conglomerate that is the second largest company in Egypt by revenue. In January 2018, Forbes estimated his wealth at $2.7 Billion.
Mansour established General Motors dealerships in Egypt, becoming one of GM’s biggest distributors in the world. Mansour Group also has exclusive distribution rights for Caterpillar equipment.
