Sadio Mane becomes the first Premier League player to be directly involved in four goals this season
Liverpool took a 1-0 lead against Leicester City this afternoon thanks to another goal by Sadio Mane.
The Senegalese slotted home for his fourth goal of the Premier League season in four games thanks to a brilliant assist by left-back Andrew Robertson.
Mane has now scored 27 goals in 60 Premier League appearances since arriving from Southampton.
Last season, Mohamed Salah proved to be Liverpool’s talisman, however, after a scintillating goal-scoring start to the new season, Mane is stealing the spotlight in the early stages.
Mo Salah should have put Liverpool ahead on three minutes but incredibly skewed his shot wide.
Roberto Firmino opened his account for the campaign as the Brazilian double Liverpool’ lead going into the break.
